What to send with the footage

A short note saves hours. Length, deadline, where it will live, one video you like, and what must stay or go.

Footage alone doesn't tell me what you want. A short note does. Half a page is plenty, and it saves you paying me to guess.

  • How long the finished video should be. "About two minutes" or "under 60 seconds for Instagram."
  • When you need it. And whether that's a hard date (an event, a launch) or a preferred one.
  • Where it will live. YouTube, your website, a vertical feed, a screen at a gala. That decides the shape.
  • One video you like. Anyone's. It's the fastest way to explain the pace and the feel.
  • Must-keep moments. Rough descriptions are fine. Timecodes are better.
  • What to leave out. A name that can't appear, a sponsor who dropped out, a take everyone wants forgotten.
  • Names and titles for anyone who appears on screen, spelled exactly how they want them.

If you have a script, a run of show or a slide deck, send it too.

Not sure what the video should be yet? That's fine. Send what you have and we'll work it out over email before I start.
